"If you are grateful, I will surely increase you" — Quran 14:7. Gratitude is not just a feeling; it is an act of worship. These supplications help you express it.
Gratitude in three modes: With your tongue (saying al-ḥamdu lillāh), with your heart (recognising every blessing is from Allah), and with your limbs (using what He has given you in His obedience). All three together are real shukr.
Dua 1
Sulaymān's dua — inspire me to be grateful
When overwhelmed by a blessing, or when you want to be more grateful
Rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka llatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa ʿalā wālidayya wa an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa adkhilnī bi-raḥmatika fī ʿibādika ṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You. And admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.
Quran 27:19.
Sulaymān ﷺ — a king who commanded armies of men, jinn, and birds — heard an ant warn her colony, and he smiled. His response was not pride but gratitude.
Allāhumma mā aṣbaḥa bī min niʿmatin aw bi-aḥadin min khalqik, fa-minka waḥdaka lā sharīka lak, fa-laka l-ḥamdu wa laka sh-shukr.
O Allah, whatever blessing I or any of Your creation has received this morning is from You alone, without partner. So all praise is Yours and all thanks is Yours.

Whoever says this in the morning has fulfilled his gratitude for the day.
Dua 3
Thanking someone who has done you a kindness
Whenever someone does something good for you
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
Jazāka llāhu khayran.
May Allah reward you with good.
Tirmidhī 2035.
Whoever has a favour done for him and says this has done the utmost in thanking. — Gratitude to Allah includes gratitude to people. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever does not thank people has not thanked Allah.” (Abū Dāwūd 4811)
Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā dhikrik, wa shukrik, wa ḥusni ʿibādatik.
O Allah, help me to remember You, thank You, and worship You well.

The Prophet ﷺ took Muʿādh's hand and said: “O Muʿādh, by Allah I love you. Do not forget to say after every prayer…”
Dua 5
Praise in every circumstance
Always — in good times and bad
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ حَالٍ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi ʿalā kulli ḥāl.
All praise is for Allah in every condition.
Sunan Ibn Mājah 3803.
True gratitude is praising Allah when you are tested, when you lose, when things are hard — because even in difficulty, there are blessings you cannot see.
