Islam touches every moment of your day. The Prophet ﷺ had a supplication for everything — eating, drinking, dressing, even looking in the mirror. These small duas transform routine into worship.
Build the habit: Start with one or two — perhaps Bismillāh before meals and the home-entry dua. Once those settle, add more. The Prophet ﷺ said the most beloved deeds to Allah are the small ones done consistently. (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6464)
Dua 1
Before eating
Before any meal
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Bismillāh.
In the name of Allah.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5376. The Prophet ﷺ taught: “Mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is near you.”
Dua 2
If you forgot Bismillāh
Mid-meal, when you remember
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ
Bismillāhi fī awwalihi wa ākhirih.
In the name of Allah, at its beginning and its end.
Ashhadu an lā ilāha illa llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh. Allāhumma jʿalnī mina t-tawwābīna wajʿalnī mina l-mutaṭahhirīn.
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah, make me among those who repent and make me among those who purify themselves.
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 234 — narrated by ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir. The closing "tawwābīn/mutaṭahhirīn" addition is from Tirmidhī 55.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever performs wudu and does it well, then says this — the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever one he wishes." (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 234)
O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established prayer, grant Muhammad the intercession and the eminence, and raise him to the praised station that You have promised him. Indeed, You do not break promises.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 614 — narrated by Jābir ibn ʿAbdillāh.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says this when he hears the azaan, my intercession will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection."
