Dua 1
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wajʿalnā li-l-muttaqīna imāmā.
Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring the coolness of our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.
Quran 25:74.
“Coolness of the eyes” (qurrat aʿyun) means the deepest joy and contentment.
Dua 2
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibah, innaka samīʿu d-duʿāʾ.
My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
Quran 3:38.
Zakariyyā ﷺ was elderly and his wife was barren. Allah gave him Yaḥyā ﷺ.
Dua 3
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi hab lī mina ṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous.
Quran 37:100.
Ibrāhīm ﷺ made this simple, powerful dua. Allah answered with Ismāʿīl ﷺ.
Dua 4
رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Rabbi lā tadharnī fardan wa anta khayru l-wārithīn.
My Lord, do not leave me alone, and You are the best of inheritors.
Quran 21:89.
Allah responded: “So We responded to him, and We gave him Yaḥyā.”
Dua 5
بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
Bāraka llāhu lak, wa bāraka ʿalayk, wa jamaʿa baynakumā fī khayr.
May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and bring you together in goodness.
Abū Dāwūd 2130, Tirmidhī 1091.
Dua 6
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا
Bismillāh, Allāhumma jannibnā sh-Shayṭān, wa jannibi sh-Shayṭāna mā razaqtanā.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Shayṭān away from us, and keep Shayṭān away from what You bless us with.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 141, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1434.
If a child is decreed for them, Shayṭān will never be able to harm that child.
Dua 7
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbi rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā.
My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.
Quran 17:24.
Dua 8
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
Rabbighfir lī wa li-wālidayya wa li-man dakhala baytiya muʾminan wa li-l-muʾminīna wa l-muʾmināt.
My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and believing women.
Quran 71:28.
Dua 9
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Rabbanā ghfir lī wa li-wālidayya wa li-l-muʾminīna yawma yaqūmu l-ḥisāb.
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day the account is established.
Quran 14:41.
Ibrāhīm ﷺ asked for forgiveness not just for himself and his parents, but for all believers — a comprehensive dua of selflessness.
