A path for everyone

The pattern of rizq: Allah ties provision to three things — istighfār (Quran 71:10–12), gratitude (Quran 14:7), and tawakkul (the hadith of the birds). Ask Him, thank Him for what He has already given, and then trust Him with the result.

Dua 1

Beneficial knowledge and good provision

After Fajr prayer
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka ʿilman nāfiʿā, wa rizqan ṭayyibā, wa ʿamalan mutaqabbalā.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
Sunan Ibn Mājah 925.
The Prophet ﷺ used to say this after the Fajr prayer.
Dua 2

Mūsā's dua — in need of any good

When in need, between jobs, starting fresh, or feeling alone
Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.
My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.
Quran 28:24.
Mūsā ﷺ said this when he was a stranger in a foreign land. Do good first, then ask Allah — He will provide from where you never expected.
Dua 3

Suffice me with the halal

When struggling financially or tempted by haram income
Allāhumma kfinī bi-ḥalālika ʿan ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bi-faḍlika ʿamman siwāk.
O Allah, suffice me with what is lawful against what is unlawful, and make me independent of all others besides You.
Tirmidhī 3563.
Even if you have a debt as great as Mount Ṣabīr, Allah will pay it for you.
Dua 4

Ibrāhīm's dua for his family's provision

For household barakah and sustenance
Rabbi jʿal hādhā baladan āminan warzuq ahlahu mina th-thamarāti man āmana minhum billāhi wa l-yawmi l-ākhir.
My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits — those of them who believe in Allah and the Last Day.
Quran 2:126.
Ibrāhīm ﷺ made this dua for Makkah when it was barren desert.
Dua 5

Seek forgiveness — and provision will come Frequent

As regular dhikr — the link between istighfār and rizq is in the Quran
Astaghfiru llāha wa atūbu ilayh.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him.
Quran 71:10–12. Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6307.
Nūḥ ﷺ told his people: “Ask forgiveness of your Lord — He will send rain upon you in abundance, and increase you in wealth and children.”
Dua 6

Reliance on Allah — as the birds are fed

Morning — as a mindset for the day
Law annakum tatawakkalūna ʿala llāhi ḥaqqa tawakkulihī la-razaqakum kamā yarzuqu ṭ-ṭayr, taghdū khimāṣan wa tarūḥu biṭānā.
If you were to rely upon Allah with true reliance, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds — they go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening.
Tirmidhī 2344 — narrated by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb.
The “dua” here is the act of tawakkul itself. Sustained sincere reliance on Allah opens doors of provision you didn't know existed.
Dua 7

For the best in this world and the Hereafter

Frequently — the most-recited dua of the Prophet ﷺ
Rabbanā ātinā fi d-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fi l-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāba n-nār.
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Quran 2:201.
“Ḥasanah” in this world includes health, a righteous spouse, good provision, beneficial knowledge, and a good reputation.
Dua 8

No power except with Allah

Frequently, and after prayer
Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.
There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4205, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2704.
The Prophet ﷺ called this “a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.”
Dua 9

Increase my wealth and children

Asking for barakah in provision and family
Allāhumma akthir mālī wa waladī, wa bārik lī fīmā aʿṭaytanī.
O Allah, increase my wealth and my children, and bless me in what You have given me.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6334 — narrated by Anas ibn Mālik.
Anas's mother brought him to the Prophet ﷺ as a young boy. When he was leaving, the Prophet ﷺ made this dua. Anas later said he became one of the wealthiest of the Anṣār, and his children and grandchildren numbered over a hundred.
